BISMARCK (AP) — Julie Fedorchak wins Republican nomination for U.S. House in North Dakota’s 1st Congressional District.
The Associated Press called the election at 8:18 p.m. with just 31 of 358 precincts reporting.
She faced a primary challenge by Alex Balazs.
He was endorsed by the North Dakota Republican Party while Fedorchak had the endorsement of President Trump. She skipped the state convention and is in her first term in Congress.
Balazs was also the party’s endorsed candidate in the 2024 primary and only got 4% voter support to Fedorchak’s 46%.
