(KFGO/KNFL) After losing a 5-2 lead in the top of the eighth, Sioux Falls scored twice in the bottom of the eighth inning en route to a 7-6 win over the F-M RedHawks on Wednesday night in Sioux Falls.
Hunter Clanin’s solo homer and a sacrifice fly from Osvaldo Martinez gave the Canaries the lead for good against F-M reliever Edgar Garcia (1-1). The RedHawks took the lead at 6-5 in the top of the 8th when West Fargo native Andy Gravdahl smacked a three-run homer.
Nick Novak and Scott Schreiber each had two hits and an RBI for Fargo-Moorhead.
Jose Cruz picked up the win in relief for the Canaries, despite giving up four runs in the eighth inning. Charlie Hasty pitched a perfect ninth for the save.
The final game of the three-game series is Thursday night in Sioux Falls. First pitch at 6:35.
