Jack Michaels can usually be found at a local gym, football or baseball field. However, when he’s not taking in the best the region has to offer in sports, he’s relaying to his knowledge on all sports topics. From the Bison to the Fighting Hawks, Jack has you covered. A North Dakota Sportscaster of the Year recipient, and multi-award winning sportscaster and play-by-play announcer.
Jack is a 30-year veteran of sports broadcasting at the collegiate, high school and professional level.
Jack has been behind the mic calling games for North Dakota State, the University of Mary and Moorhead State University, and is currently the play-by-play voice of the University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks football and women’s basketball teams
Jack is also the original, and current voice of the American Association’s FM RedHawks professional baseball team.
Jack has called professional basketball in the former CBA (continental basketball association), the NBA D-League, and the IBA.
Jack also hosts the ‘Jack Michaels Show’ on AM 740 The Fan in Fargo, ND. The nation’s 5th largest daytime signal in the country.
Jack’s radio career has spanned morning show host on FM signals, a drive time host on AM 790 KFGO and more.
Jack heads up the KFGO-AM Sports department.

Jack is a native of Williston, ND, the hometown NBA great Phil Jackson.
Jack’s partner in the baseball booth for 10 years was former LA Dodger legend Maury Wills.
Jack is the father of identical twin daughters.
Jack played baseball and basketball in Junior College, and transferred to North Dakota State where he continued his baseball career. (*Jack homered against the University of Oklahoma, in Norman, where his mother tracked down the home run ball and has it to this day)
