DEVILS LAKE, N.D. – Lake Region State College Athletic Director Danny Mertens who also serves as the head women’s basketball coach at the school has been put on administrative leave.
According to a statement issued by the school late Sunday afternoon, Mertens was put on leave with pay this past Friday by school President Dr. Doug Darling.
The statement says Mertens was put on leave pending a review of information brought to the college’s attention.
The college has not provided any additional details of what prompted the review.
