FORT TOTTEN, N.D. (KVRR/KFGO) – An arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect in a fatal stabbing over the weekend in Fort Totten, North Dakota.
Law enforcement authorities are looking for Jeremy Christ, who also goes by “Jay”.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call Spirit Lake Law Enforcement at 701-766-4231 or dial 911. They advise that you do not approach him.
The victim has been identified as 46-year-old Patrick Cavanaugh. Authorities say this was an isolated incident and that the men knew each other. The Spirit Lake Nation says a soft lockdown continues at both tribal and public schools.
The stabbing is still under investigation.
