(KNFL/KFGO) – Fargo Force goalie Samuel Hrenak was drafted in the 3rd round of this year’s NHL Draft with the 71st pick by the Winnipeg Jets. Hrenak spent most of his time playing hockey in his home country of Slovakia. Sam entered the USHL for the first time this year with the Fargo Force, and made an incredible impact between the pipes. In nine games played, he had a record of 7-1-1, a save percentage of .918, and a goals against average of 2.20. Not only that, but Hrenak had a goalie goal this season for Fargo in the second game of a two-game set at home against the Dubuque Fighting Saints on March 28th.
Hrenak also played six games for Slovakia in the World Juniors, where he put up a save percentage of .925, and had a record of 4-1-0. He is currently uncommitted.
