FARGO (KFGO) – The sixth and final defendant involved in a brutal beating in downtown Fargo over two years ago has been sentenced for his role in the crime.
Sergio Granados pleaded guilty to being an accomplice to aggravated assault in the April 2024 beating that left two men severely injured. Judge Scott Diamond sentenced Granados to five years in prison, with nearly four years suspended. He was given credit for time served.
Granados will be on probation for two years after his release.
The charges and sentence stem from beatings of two men who say they were trying to break up a fight on NP Avenue west of Broadway when a brawl broke out.
One of the victims suffered broken bones in his face that required surgery to repair.
