MOORHEAD (KFGO) – The Clay County Attorney’s Office has charged a Moorhead man with 1st-degree assault-great bodily harm after police say he ran down a man with his car in Moorhead early Saturday morning.
Roel Rivera, 40, was arrested. Police said Saturday Rivera hit the victim intentionally.
Court documents filed Monday say the victim was walking with Rivera’s ex-wife and they noticed him circling in a convenience store parking lot. The victim was struck in a field in the 2800 block of 36th Street S.
The victim suffered serious injuries including a broken leg, fractured ribs and internal bleeding.
