WASHINGTON – Federal officials continue to investigate Saturday’s night shooting outside the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, DC.
At least two Minnesotans were in attendance – Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and Republican Congressman Tom Emmer. Authorities say shots were fired in the hotel, prompting a rapid law enforcement response and heightened security.
Neither Frey nor Emmer were injured.
It’s unclear how many other Minnesotans, including journalists and guests, attended the dinner.
