After a long wait,, future Hall of Fame Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, has confirmed, that he will sign a 1 year deal with Pittsburgh Steelers. He will join Super Bowl winning head coach Mike Tomlin, who was on the opposing sideline when the Green Bay Packers defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV(45). Pittsburgh’s QB situation has been spotty over the past couple of seasons after the retirement of Ben Roethlisberger.
Aaron Rodgers had been traded from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets after the 2022-2023 season. Hopes were high for New York Jets fans going into the first season with their new QB. But, to begin the 2023-2024 season, Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles on the first drive in Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills. After his speedy recovery, fans were optimistic again. Unfortunately, the Jets had an underwhelming season, finishing with a record of 5-12.
The Steelers are set to play at the Jets in Week 1 and they’ll host the Green Bay Packers in Week 8 on Sunday Night Football.
