FRANKLIN, WI – The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks fell to the Milwaukee Milkmen 8-3 Sunday afternoon.
The Milkmen jumped on the board first when Will Kengor hit an RBI double that plated Aaron Hill in the bottom of the second inning to take a 1-0 lead.
Fargo-Moorhead knotted the game up at 1-1 on Drew Ward RBI single that scored Manny Boscan.
The Milkmen answered in the home half of the fifth inning when Christ Conley scored on Chad Sedio RBI double taking a 2-1 lead over the ‘Hawks.
Milwaukee broke things open in the bottom of the sixth inning putting across 4 runs to take a 6-1 lead.
A Nick Novak RBI single plated John Silviano in the top of the seventh to cut the Milkmen lead to 6-2
Keon Barnum blasted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the seventh to lift Milwaukee to an 8-2 lead.
The RedHawks got a run back when Ward scored on a passed ball in the top of the eighth inning to make it 8-3.
The ‘Hawks put across two runs on a Boscan single in the top of the ninth to cut the Milkmen lead to 8-5 but were unable to keep the rally going.
The RedHawks return home to start a series with the Sioux Falls Canaries on Tuesday night, Jack Michaels will have the call, pregame at 6:40 p.m. first pitch 7:02 p.m. on 740 The Fan and 107.3FM.
