GARDNER, N.D. (KFGO) — Two men are in the Cass County Jail after a domestic assault and high-speed chase overnight.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call around 1 this morning from a teen girl involved in a domestic assault on I-29. The call was disconnected, but deputies were able to locate the girl in Fargo. She was brought to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Deputies were able to identify the suspect and his vehicle. It was later found near Gardner, and fled. The pursuit was eventually stopped due to safety concerns, but the vehicle was followed at a distance. It was found crashed and unoccupied.
A perimeter was established, and a Highway Patrol drone and a West Fargo Police K9 were used to find the suspects hiding in nearby fields.
20-year-old Reese Harold was arrested for felony aggravated domestic assault, fleeing, meth paraphernalia possession, and driving under revocation. 22-year-old Nicholas Hilsendeger was arrested for refusing to halt and drug paraphernalia.
