(KNFL/KFGO) – The Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks were looking for the series win over the Kane County Cougars after a win last night, and the game this afternoon would be another pitching battle.
Tyler Jandron would pitch for Fargo-Moorhead, going against starting pitcher for Kane County, Vin Timpanelli. The Redhawks would strike first against Timpanelli.
Peter Brookshaw would drive in the game’s first run on an RBI single in the top of the 2nd to make it 1-0 Redhawks. Jose Sermo would deliver in the top of the 5th, as he drove in a run on an RBI single, before being called out at 2nd base. That RBI single would make it 2-0. Finally, in the top of the 9th, Parker Stroh would deliver an infield single to make it 3-0. It turned out to be plenty of run support for Redhawks starting pitcher Tyler Jandron, as despite giving up 10 hits, he would finish the entire game in shutout fashion with 5 strikeouts. He also gave up no walks in the 3-0 win.
Jandron got the win on the mound for Fargo-Moorhead, while Vin Timpanelli, despite a solid performance himself, was the losing pitcher this afternoon.
Fargo-Moorhead returns home after the series win in Geneva, Illinois, to start a 3 game series against the Lincoln Saltdogs on Tuesday. The pregame show on Tuesday begins at 6:40 PM on AM 740 The FAN KNFL Fargo/107.3 FM.
