There has been a bevy of transfers and changes in UND athletics in the past few weeks. The most recent athlete to transfer, was Treyson Eaglestaff, the talented scorer for the Fighting Hawk’s Men’s basketball squad. Treyson Eaglestaff, the 6’6 junior guard out of Bismarck, North Dakota, had an outstanding season for the North Dakota Fighting Hawks. Eaglestaff was one of the best scorers in the country, averaging 18.9 points per game, while shooting 41.6% from the field. He also scored in double figures in 29 of the 31 games he played, including a 40 point performance against Alabama in December, and a 51 point performance against South Dakota State in the Summit League Quarterfinals. A slew of colleges were interested in Eaglestaff after this season. One of those colleges, was South Carolina, which was the team that Treyson Eaglestaff committed to for his senior season, and final year of eligibility. He chose South Carolina over schools like Gonzaga, Kansas, Kentucky, Iowa, and many others. South Carolina was at the bottom of the SEC this season, with a 2-16 record.
