GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Following the first road weekend of the year, North Dakota sits as No. 7 in both the USHCO.com and USA Today/The Rink Live polls released on Monday.
The Fighting Hawks are coming off a weekend split at then-No. 20 Minnesota State, rallying for a 3-2 win on Friday before suffering a 3-0 loss in Saturday’s finale to sit with a 2-1-0 record. Forwards Cameron Berg (2), Louis Jamernik V (1) and Carter Wilkie (1) all scored while T.J. Semptimphelter finished with 23 saves in Friday’s victory.
UND is currently slated to play an opponent either ranked or receiving votes in the polls every weekend until Dec. 6-7 at Miami.
This weekend sees a third straight ranked opponent on the slate, as No. 3 Boston University comes to Grand Forks for a series beginning on Friday night at 7:07 p.m. from Ralph Englestad Arena.
