GRAND FORKS, N.D.(UND Athletics) – After helping the Fighting Hawks to a pair of wins last week, including a triple-double against Omaha, Kacie Borowicz has earned her second Summit League Peak Performer of the Week award. The weekly accolade is the second of the season for Borowicz and sixth of her career.
The Preseason Player of the Year opened her week by becoming the third player in UND history to register a triple-double. Borowicz scored 20 points, pulled down a career-high 12 rebounds and dished out a season-high 10 assists in the 100-75 victory over Omaha.
The Roseau, Minn., native then tallied 10 points, a team-high seven rebounds and added two steals in a 79-61 victory over Kansas City that was UND’s third in the last four games after enduring a five-game losing streak.
Borowicz has reached double figures in eight straight and the 20-plus point outing against the Mavericks was her seventh of the campaign.
