FARGO (KFGO) – Two men have been charged in business burglaries in Fargo and Mapleton and investigators say they are suspects in other recent break-ins.
Jacob Iten and Amar Kovacevic have been charged with burglaries at Custom Cinema and Sound in Fargo and Auto Garage in Mapleton on Dec. 22. Merchandise was stolen in the Fargo burglary while tools were taken in Mapleton. Kovacevic was later arrested at a south Fargo apartment by Fargo Police, Cass County deputies, officers with the Metro Street Crimes Unit and Red River Valley SWAT.
Iten had been arrested on a stolen property charge on Dec. 12 and released from jail after posting bond four days later. Both men are on probation in North Dakota. Sheriff Jesse Jahner said investigators are still working to solve other break-ins and more charges are expected.
There have been a number business burglaries over the past several months in Cass and Clay Counties, Fargo, Moorhead, and West Fargo.
In one case, about $60,000 worth of tools, diagnostic equipment and a customer’s pickup were stolen from a Fargo car repair business.
