STANTON, N.D. (KFGO) – The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office has released details for the funeral services for fallen deputy Paul Martin.
Martin’s funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Beulah High School at 204 5th Street NW. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. with final seating at 12:30 p.m. The funeral will also be live streamed online as well as on some television stations.
Due to limited parking, the public is being asked to park on the street. No backpacks, large bags, or purses will be allowed.
There will be a short procession through Beulah after the service and the public is encouraged to show support along the route.
Final interment will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan at a later date.
Martin died earlier this week while attempting to stop a vehicle driven by Ian Cramer, 42, the son of U.S. Sen. Kevin Cramer. Ian Cramer had stolen a family vehicle in Bismarck and led officers on a pursuit in Mercer County before crashing into Martin’s squad vehicle.
Martin was 53 and is survived by his wife and three children.
