DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (KZZY/KFGO)- Police say a 44-year-old man suffered non life-threatening injuries, including cuts to his arms, after getting attacked by a man wielding a machete in downtown Devils Lake Saturday.
The incident happened in an alley around 3:00 p.m. Officers were investigating a report of a man attempting to break into vehicles in the area at the time and were on scene quickly.
A 32-year-old suspect was taken into custody and the victim went to the hospital for treatment. Police say they are looking into the possibility that a second person was also attacked by the suspect. Numerous charges are pending against the suspect, including aggravated assault, terrorizing, reckless endangerment, and carrying a concealed weapon.
