(KFGO/KNFL) Ty Hanson’s third-period goal was the game-winner as the Sioux City Musketeers beat the Fargo Force 3-2 on Friday night at Scheels Arena.
Hanson’s shot from the blueline at 8:38 of the 3rd period got past Force goalie Matej Marinov, who appeared to be screened on the shot.
Cole Knuble and Owen Mehlenbacher tallied the goals for the Force, which is now lost five games in a row. Despite the loss, Fargo leads the USHL’s Western Conference standings with 78 points, eight points ahead of second-place Lincoln.
Samuel Urban recorded 34 saves for the Musketeers. Sioux City has won five of its last six games.
