(KFGO/KNFL) Shiloh Christian and Beulah advanced to the semifinals of the Class B Boys Basketball Tournament after wins this afternoon.
In the opening game of the day, Shiloh went 18-24 in the first half en route to a 69-38 rout of Powers Lake/Burke Central. Isaac Emmel and Kyler Klein lad four Skyhawks in double figures with 14 points each. Emmel was 4-5 from three-point range. Caden Englund added 12 points and seven assists.
Mr. Basketball finalist Tyson Enget of the Ranchers was held to 4-13 shooting and nine points.
Beulah held Medina/Pingree-Buchanan scoreless for over a quarter as the Miners advanced with a 48-31 win over the Thunder. MPB started strong, leading 21-12 in the 2nd quarter before the Miners ended the half with seven consecutive points.
Braylon Schirado led Beulah with 12 points, with Tarren Larson next up with 11 points, and seven rebounds. The Miners held MPB’s two leading scorers, Josh Moser and Rylen Wick to a combined 13 points on 5-30 shooting.
Shiloh and Beulah meet in the semifinals Friday night at 6:40. Beulah beat the Skyhawks 51-46 in January.
