(KFGO/KNFL) The NDSCS football team has accepted an invitation to play in the NJCAA Division III National Championship. The Wildcats (9-1) will face the College of DuPage (8-2) at DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL on December 3.
The Wildcats have won seven consecutive games, including a 19-0 win over M State-Fergus Falls in the MCAC and Region XIII finals. Science is led by sophomore quarterback Graedyn Buell. Buell has thrown for 23 touchdowns this season, including six vs. Minnesota West on September 3. Marselio Mendez has been his most popular target, with 34 receptions, 782 yards, and 12 TD’s.
DuPage looks to defend its Division III title, as the Chaparrals defeated Nassau (NY) 34-29 last season. DuPage leads Division III, leading the in points (38.2), total yards per game (425.25) and rushing yards/game (240.1).
Kickoff is at Noon on December 3 at Bjarne Ullsvik Stadium.
