MAPLE GROVE, Minn. – Police are investigating a fire on Tuesday night at the historic Maple Grove Village Hall as an arson.
Firefighters were able to get the flames under control quickly, but the building suffered fire and smoke damage.
Detectives believe it may have been intentionally set by someone spotted on a security camera driving a white Chevy Equinox. Officers are asking residents in the area to check their doorbell and security cameras for possible footage of the vehicle between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The historic Village Hall is currently being used by the Maple Grove Parks and Recreation department.
