MINNEAPOLIS – Three men have pleaded guilty to federal charges for taking part in an August 2019 murder on the Red Lake Indian Reservation.
Prosecutors say 21-year-old Alexia Cutbank of Bemidji, 21-year-old Mia Sumner of Duluth and 31-year-old Daniel Barrett of Redby entered a garage where Cutbank fatally shot Daniel Johnson and seriously wounded a second victim.
Cutbank and Barrett will both be sentenced for aiding and abetting second-degree murder. Cutbank also entered a guilty plea to aiding and abetting assault resulting in serious bodily injury.
Sumner’s trial is set to begin Oct. 31.
