Fargo-Moorhead slugged three homers in an 8-3 win over Winnipeg on Friday night in Game 2 of the American Association playoff series. The RedHawks evened the best-of-three series at one game each.
John Silviano, Peter Maris, and Alec Olund all went deep for the RedHawks, as they scored five runs in the bottom of the 2nd off Winnipeg starter Luis Ramirez. Leo Pina and Evan Alexander added three hits each for Fargo-Moorhead.
Game 3 is Saturday night at Newman Outdoor Field, first pitch at 6:30. You can hear the game on 101.9 JACK FM with a 6:10 pre-game.
The winner of Saturday’s game will meet Kansas City in the Western Division final beginning Monday. The Monarchs defeated Lincoln 8-3 on Friday to clinch its first-round series win.
