FARGO (KFGO) – Fargo City Commissioner Dave Piepkorn is hinting that a major announcement about the Fargodome will be made soon.
“It is going to be a great thing, the Fargodome obviously needs some updating in a lot of different ways and so I’m excited when it goes public, to me that’s the next big thing that’s on the calendar,” Piepkorn said.
Piepkorn, on KFGO “Afternoons Live” with Tyler Axness, did not elaborate. Fargodome Executive Director Rob Sobolik said he could not comment further at this time.
The dome opened in 1992 with some slight expansion and remodeling since then.
There was talk of about $50 million dollars in upgrades three years ago, but those discussions were put on hold when the pandemic began to take hold.
