WILLMAR, Minn. – State Representative Dave Baker says he’s “not a happy camper” that edibles and beverages containing T-H-C are now legal in Minnesota.
The Willmar Republican says the language was included in a large health and human services bill that came up very late in the session. Baker says if he’s re-elected, he will work with other House Republicans to have the edibles law tossed out.
House Democratic Majority Leader Ryan Winkler said earlier in the week, “We absolutely did this on purpose — it was an intentional step forward.”
Senate Republicans strongly oppose legalizing recreational marijuana.
