WAHPETON, N.D. (KFGO) – The North Dakota Board of Higher Education has named Dr. Rod Flanigan as the 10th president of the State College of Science in Wahpeton and Fargo. The board interviewed three finalists and the decision to hire Flanigan was unanimous.
21 candidates were initially reviewed after meeting qualifications.
Flanigan is a business and technology dean at a college in Arizona. He earned a master’s degree in business at the University of Utah.
Flanigan will replace John Richman who retired last December after 35 years at the school, including 15 years as president. He is expected to take over as president around July 1. He will be paid $210,000 a year.
