MOORHEAD, MINN. (KFGO) – The Moorhead Police Department has had an influx of fraud reports recently and many are due to a scam currently circulating.
In this scam, the responsible party is disguising themselves as a well-known company and contacting individuals to update their security information on their computers.
Police say if something similar happens to you, do not update your information. Search for the contact information for the company they are claiming to be and check with them directly for any flags on your account.
