DULUTH, Minn. (KFGO) – The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says a carjacking suspect shot himself to death north of Duluth Friday night.
The B-C-A says one of the deputies chasing 34-year-old Scott Jordon of Duluth did fire a shot, but Jordon wasn’t hit. Investigators say a woman and her 16-year-old son were carjacked at gunpoint outside a grocery store near Duluth. They weren’t injured and the suspect ran off into a wooded area on foot.
The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office says Jordon died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
