WEST FARGO, N.D. – Fargo Davies kept their undefeated season alive with a 16-7 win over the West Fargo Packers on Friday.
West Fargo scored on its opening drive of the game. Packers junior quarterback Peyton Jantzi hit Carson Hagerle for a seven-yard touchdown reception to cap a 72-yard drive with 9:51 left in the first quarter.
Fargo Davies would limit West Fargo to 165 yards of offense for the rest of the game.
Davies senior fullback Truman Werremeyer tied the contest with an 8-yard rushing touchdown with 2:50 left in the first quarter.
Tied at 7, Davies took advantage of a West Fargo fumble in the third quarter. On the ensuing possession, Pablo Nunez-Perez drilled a 43-yard field with 3:26 left to give the Eagles a 10-7 lead.
Davies put the game away with a Reid Hartness 20-yard touchdown pass to Colten Alme with 7:26 left in the fourth quarter.
West Fargo (3-2 overall) plays at Fargo Shanley for their next contest on Friday, October 9.
No. 4 Davies (5-0 overall) plays at West Fargo Sheyenne for their next game on Friday, October 9.
