FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (KFGO) – The Fergus Falls School District is receiving more than $60,000 in grants to support students and teachers. The Fergus Falls 544 Education Foundation awarded funding to 34 of 40 grant applications.
The money will go toward a variety of projects, including new percussion instruments, pep band outfits, STEM equipment, and middle school field trips. Other grants will support special education programs, including sensory equipment and assisted technology.
Funding will also help pay for a student-led mural at Kennedy Secondary School, equipment for welding and construction classes, and outdoor learning supplies.
The foundation has been awarding grants to the district for more than 25 years.
