FARGO, N.D. (KFGO) – Interviews for the three finalists for Fargo’s new police chief are being held with the selection committee Thursday in an open-to-the-public session at the city hall chambers. Each candidate will give a presentation and then be individually interviewed.
The finalists are John Franklin, a retired Chicago police commander who was a police chief in Dolton, Illinois, and in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Stacy Kelly of Scottsdale, Arizona is a former assistant police chief in Newport News, Va. and currently works in the private sector. David Zibolski is currently police chief in Beloit, Wisc. and also spent 27-years with the Milwaukee Police Department.
The selection committee will make its recommendation once the interviews are completed and that recommendation will go to the city commission, which will make the final decision. The new chief will replace Dave Todd who retired last month.
