Micah Ailie, 40
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (KFGO/KNOX) – A Detroit Lakes man is facing a felony assault charge after shoving a 10-foot aluminum pipe into another man’s chest.
Micah Ailie, 43, was charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and two misdemeanor counts of domestic assault and damage to property
According to a complaint the victim went to Ailie’s home and confronted him about a chainsaw Ailie didn’t return. The two began arguing when Ailie ended up grabbing a 10-foot aluminum pipe shoving it into the victim’s chest.
The victim later told deputies Ailie destroyed the victim’s cell phone using a lawn tool. The phone fell out of the victim’s pocket when they were arguing.
Deputies arrested Ailie the next day at a Detroit lakes home. Deputies also found a burnt glass pipe on him, and Ailie admitted he was using meth for it the day of the incident.
He is being held in custody under a pending detention order.
