FARGO (KFGO) – The City of Fargo’s Police Chief Selection Committee says current Interim-Chief Travis Stefonowicz is the only finalist for the chief position.
The City of Fargo says that after narrowing the search to three finalists, two candidates withdrew from consideration. Leaving Stefonowicz as the only candidate. The committee will interview Stefonowicz Thursday and submit its recommendation to the City Administrator, who will submit a recommendation to the Fargo City Commission.
Stefonowicz has been with the Fargo Police Department since 2002 and been the Assistant Chief since 2021. He was approved by the commission as interim chief in March.
