ST. PAUL, Minn. – A delegation of 50 faith leaders delivered a letter to Gov. Tim Walz’s office calling on lawmakers to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.
The letter is signed by more than 700 faith leaders representing 60 of Minnesota’s 87 counties. It asks the governor and state legislators to act with “moral courage” in the wake of the Annunciation Catholic School shooting.
Clergy from different denominations will hold daily prayer sessions for victims, survivors and communities every day for the next week on the upper mall steps of the State Capitol.
