FARGO (KNFL) – The Thompson Tommies collected their fourth consecutive Class B Baseball Championship May 31 with a 10-7 victory over the LaMoure/Litchville-Marion/Edgely Loboes.
Thompson took the lead in the third inning after scoring three runs and led the rest of the way. The Tommies scored in every inning but the first.
William Welke and Dex Avdem each had three hit games for Thompson to lead a Tommies team that collected 12 hits in the ballgame.
The Tommies bested Renville County in the opening round of the tournament 9-1, and walked-off the Northern Cass Jaguars 4-3 in the semi-final round to advance to the championship.
