
(KNFL/KFGO) -NDSU offensive lineman Grey Zabel, was selected 18th overall by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2025 NFL Draft. Zabel was one of the most talented offensive lineman going into the draft and Seattle was in need of an offensive lineman.
Grey Zabel, who is 6’6, 312 pounds, is an incredibly versatile guard, capable of playing tackle. He is an player that brings speed and strength to the offensive line. In 2024, Zabel earned first-team Associated Press FCS All-American honors. He also earned first-team Missouri Valley Football Conference honors.
Zabel will be blocking for former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darold, and will also join former Bison OT Jalen Sundell. Grey Zabel is the first NDSU offensive lineman to be drafted in the first round. He also became the highest drafted offensive lineman in FCS history.
