ENDERLIN, N.D. (KFGO) โ An Enderlin woman is charged with attempted murder for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend multiple times.
Police say 47-year-old Amelia Garces then barricaded herself inside the home.
The Ransom County Sheriffโs Office responded to a home on Harrison Street around 5:45 Saturday morning. The victim, a 48-year-old man, was able to escape the house and met first responders down the street. Police say he had several stab wounds on his head and shoulder. He told officers Garces had been drinking and attacked him while he was sleeping, stabbing him with scissors and a kitchen knife. He was taken to the Lisbon hospital for treatment.
Officers surrounded the home, and the Southern Valley Special Response Team was activated. Garces left the house and was arrested just after 8 a.m. She blew a .107 BAC at 8:30, three hours after the alleged attack.
Garces is charged with attempted murder and domestic violence. She is in the Cass County Jail.
