Brooks Bakko scored after grabbing an offensive rebound on a three-point attempt missed by Kindred in the final second to defeat Devils Lake 59-58 in the North Dakota Division A Boy’s State Basketball Tournament championship game.
The Vikings started off the game slow, trailing by as much as 26 points in the first half, and went to the halftime break down by 20. It was Kindred’s first State Championship since they won the ND Class B title in 2021.
