The University of North Dakota football team fell to the Redbirds of Illinois State 35-13 to close out their season. The Fighting Hawks could not stop the balanced attack of quarterback Tommy Rittenhouse who went 21 of 33, with 187 yards of passing with one touchdown and running back Wenkers Wright rushing for 118 yards and two touchdowns to help ISU secure the win and a second place finish in the Missouri Valley Football Conference finishing 6-2 in league play and 9-3 overall.
UND finishes the season with a 2-6 conference record and went 5-7 overall.
