The Aggies of Velva-Garrison-Drake-Anamoose were able to take advantage of four interceptions and one 2-point conversion to defeat Kindred 14-12 in the Dakota Bowl Class A Championship Game at the Fargodome. The Aggies avenged a 12-6 loss to the Vikings from August 23, the only blemish to their season. Kindred failed on a point-after-attempt on a kick after their first touchdown, and came within inches of converting a two-point conversion on their second touchdown to tie the ballgame. The Vikings tried an onside-kick to get another possession in the final minutes of the fourth quarter, but the Aggies were able to recover and eventually seal the win.
