Landon Tuomala (St. Louis Co. Jail)
DULUTH, Minn. (KFGO) – A 22-year-old man from St. Louis County in northeast Minnesota is in jail after his father’s girlfriend says he shot at her with a rifle.
Landon Tuomala of Biwabik is charged with attempted murder and assault for the shooting last week Monday.
Court records say the woman came home, where she lives with Tuomala and his father, and found him pointing a gun at her. The woman ran from the house and as she was running, she tripped.
The woman told police a bullet traveled over her.
Tuomala called 911 to report he shot someone and when officers arrived at the home, he came out with his hands in the air. He told the officers the woman he shot ran away.
The woman was found nearby unharmed.
