ST. PAUL, Minn. – Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz was asked on CNN’s “State of the Union” if he would consider being Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate, but he didn’t give a direct answer.
Walz said that he would, “do what is in the best interest of the country,” if offered the chance to run with Harris. When pressed for a more definitive answer, he only said, “we’ll cross paths when we get there.”
Walz expressed confidence in Harris’s chances of winning in November and criticized former President Donald Trump’s behavior, calling it “weird” and suggesting that people give Trump, “way too much credit.”
