Fargo, ND (NDSU Athletics) Two current North Dakota State athletes and one incoming Bison freshman will compete at the USATF U20 Championships this Thursday, June 13, in Eugene, Ore.
Anika Larson (Cambridge, Minn.) will run in the women’s 200m dash, and Trey Heinrich (Kindred, N.D.) will compete in the men’s 110m hurdles at Hayward Field. Both recently completed their freshman seasons at NDSU.
Larson is No. 6 all-time at NDSU in the 100m dash (11.72) and No. 8 in the 200m dash (23.99). Heinrich is ranked ninth in NDSU history for the 110m hurdles after clocking 14.23 for fourth place at the Summit League Championships.
Incoming Bison freshman Reece Grosserode (Lincoln, Neb.) will take part in the men’s triple jump on Thursday. He won the Nebraska state title in May for Pius X High School, posting a mark of 49-9 this season to rank eighth nationally among high school athletes.
