BURNSVILLE, MINN. – The Dakota County Sheriff’s office says they have received questions from people about a vehicle found in a Twin Cities pond in Burnsville.
The sheriff’s office says last week, a drone pilot spotted the car submerged in the park pond as a result of the low water level. The county dive team pulled the 1983 BMW out, which had been underwater for more than 20 years.
The registered owner, an elderly man, was contacted. he believed the vehicle was sold or traded, but doesn’t recall because it was so many years ago.
The sheriff’s office believes the car’s title was not transferred and the car was dumped.
