MINOT, N.D. (KFGO) – Minot Police say one man is dead and another is facing a felony charge after a vehicle drove into the Mouse River late Saturday night, shortly after 11.
Investigators said responders found the driver in the river and brought him to shore where he told them a passenger remained trapped in the vehicle.
Minot Fire immediately started rescue operations and brought the male passenger to shore. Investigators said life-saving measures were performed on the scene and on the way to the hospital, but the man was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
According to police, the driver of the vehicle, identified as 22-year-old Brendan Rademacher of Minot, was treated for minor injuries and faces a felony charge of DUI – criminal vehicular homicide.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
