WEST ST. PAUL, Minn. – Minnesota Auto Dealers Association President Scott Lambert says the expanding auto workers strike does not mean cars won’t be available, but they will be in tighter supply.
Lambert said buyers might have to “settle for what’s on the lot” or what a dealer can trade for with another dealership.
“If you demand a certain kind of make and color and trim level, that might be hard to do if they got to go build that on-demand,” Lambert said. “They could have done that prior to the strike.”
Lambert said if potential buyers see something they like, but move on to the next lot, the vehicle might not be there when they go back.
