(KFGO/KNFL) Defending FCS champion South Dakota State tops the preseason AFCA FCS Coaches’ Top 25 Poll on Monday. The Jackrabbits were one of four Missouri Valley Football Conference teams in the preseason rankings.
Runner-up NDSU is #2. The Bison open the season at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis versus Eastern Washington. Montana State, William & Mary, and Holy Cross round out the top five.
UND is #18. The Fighting Hawks were 17th in last week’s Stats Perform Preseason Top 25. UND opens at home versus Drake on September 2.
Northern Iowa is #20, with fellow MVFC team Youngstown St, Southern Illinois, and Illinois State.
