BALDWIN TWP, MINN. (KFGO) – A minivan was traveling southbound on the off-ramp from 169 in Baldwin Township, just north of the Twin Cities, when the minivan left the roadway and crossed Rum River Drive, striking an SUV and causing it to cross the center median and hit another vehicle.
The SUV driver, Stephanie Leigh Timmins, 38, Unknown City, and an 11-year-old boy were traveling southbound on Rum River Drive and were struck on the passenger side. The SUV went across the center median and struck the dump trailer pulled by a pickup truck driven by Michael Ellison of Princeton, MN, age 56, traveling northbound on Rum River Drive.
Timmens and the minor were transported to Fairview Northland with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the minivan, 67-year-old Timothy Keller of Cambridge, MN, was transported to Fairview Northland and pronounced deceased.
The crash remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.
